I got my first dog, she was a miniature poodle, when I was 6 years old. Since then dogs became a part of my life in my spare time as well as in my professional life. I work as a veterinary technician and I also finished a grooming course in year 2000.

I am an active member of Kennel club Maribor, where I have been a club's secretary for some years and I am a member of breeding comittee in this club. I was working at shows which were organized by our club. I was awarded with Silver Order by Slovenian Kennel Club in 2004 and with award by Kennel club Maribor in 2005 for my work for the club.

I participated in my first dog show when I was 15. I showed my Irish Setter at the international show in Ljubljana, where he was awarded with Junior Winner title.

After getting married and after my son was born I have been without a dog for some years. My Irish Setter died and I felt the life is empty without a dog. I wanted a dog who would suit me and my family best. After carefuly choosing my new breed we got our first Shih Tzu in 1995. Unfortunately he only lived a short life and in 1997 we got our first Shih Tzu girl Chi-Chi, and she will be 11 years this year. I started showing her and this is how my love for Shih Tzu, showing and breeding started.

In 1999 I registered my kennel under the name Jolyan's.

I have been showing my dogs all these years, I help with advices and groom dogs from my breeding, who go to shows. Showing and breeding became my hobby, which takes most of my free time.

My purpose is to improve the quality of Shih Tzu in Slovenia, therefore I choose by breeding bitches and breeding combinations very carefully. My wish is to breed typical Shih Tzu with strong constitution and friendly and happy character.

I live with my family in Maribor in a house with a big garden. Our dogs are entirelly equal members of our family and go with us everywhere, we take them with us also on summer and winter holidays. They like long walks in nature and they love to spend summer holidays at sea.

All my life and the life of my family is closely connected with our dogs, they make us happy every moment of our lives.
